Yes, there is a DIN for this! The walking time calculator uses DIN 33466. To figure out how long it takes to walk, it is assumed that:
Someone walks away in an hour:

  • 300 m of climbing
  • 500 m of drop
  • 4 km in length and width

To find the real walking time, take the smaller of the times found for horizontal and vertical removal and divide it in half. Then, add the larger value to the smaller value.

That being said, the type of road is not considered here. Again, you should ask about the estimated walking time and change it to fit the situation (for example, if you’re going on a tour with no roads in the field) and the speed at which you walk.

50-35-15 for carbs, fat, and protein, or not?

Even though I’m not a nutritionist, I think the daily energy intake is evenly split between carbs, fats, and proteins. The diet calculator already sets the energy distribution based on the DGE’s suggestions, and the amount of fat is at the highest level possible because of physical exercise. But if you need to, you can just erase the numbers and change them to fit your own diet plan.

This test then tells you how the energy in your meal plan is distributed in terms of percentage (in%) and absolute (in kcal).
